Kick off Richard III's Big Birthday Weekend with a tour around Old Leicester and hear the retelling of how a King ended in a car park.

Join us for King Richard III’s 574’th birthday! We’ll kick off the evening by meeting up for a pint to make friends and introductions and head out into the night.

We’ll be retelling the story of Richard’s life and how he ended up in a Leicester car park, hidden by mud and mystery for five centuries. Hated and maligned, the last English King to have died in battle has spent 500 years being overlooked until the fateful day when Philippa Langley would arrive in Leicester.

And as we walk around, we pose the question- was Richard III really put to rest in 2015 in Leicester Cathedral? Or does he still linger around that reserved parking spot?

With surprises along the way, we end our tour at a historical tavern for our final talk, toast and a slice of birthday cake!
