About This Event

On 3 October 2026, Broombriggs Farm Country Park will host a tree seed collection event from 12:30 to 15:30, where participants can collect tree seeds for a local nursery and learn about the process and its importance.

Join us for a fun afternoon collecting tree seeds for our local tree nursery, and learn all about the process and importance .

As part of the Tree Councils seed gathering season 2026 we are thrilled to announce our partnership tree seed collection event. Join us for a guest talk by the Leicestershire County Council forestry team on the importance of native grown seed from locally sourced trees and how we are running our local tree nursery. The sessions will start at Broombriggs Country Park, with seed collection taking place shortly after on the Beacon Native trees trail led by staff.

Places are FREE and light refreshments will be provided. Booking is essential. Please dress appropriately for outdoor terrain and activities.

Families are welcome, but children over 10 years of age are advisable.
