1 day Beginners Upcycle Workshop

Join us for ‘Repair and Upcycle Workshop’, drop in with your existing garments and learn basic skills on how to rework your clothes.

Learn how to:

+ How to thread an industrial sewing machine

+ Learn different stitches and tensions

+ How to shorten and hem a trouser or skirt by hand (Woven and Jersey)

+ How to shorten and hem a trouser or skirt on a sewing machine (Woven and Jersey)

+ Learn about the different fabrics and how they are different in handling

+ How to insert a zip, buttons and trims

+ Techniques to upcycle an existing garment

+ Customisation

+ How to tailor an existing garment to your body shape

The FC Designer Workspace is a hub of fashion, with resident studio designers, fashion students and creatives occupying the space everyday of the week. The Workspace is a creative community for everyone.
