About Disney's The Lion King

Disney's The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London is Disney's internationally celebrated musical. Reimagined by acclaimed director Julie Taymor, the film has been transformed into a stage production with colours, effects and music, following Simba's journey from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.

The show presents the story as a theatrical event built around the familiar Disney title, with the narrative at its centre. It is a London production with a strong focus on the visual staging and the music that support Simba's epic adventure.

Key facts: Running time is 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one interval. Performances are Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2.30pm.

Before you book

Age guidance: The Lion King is recommended for ages 6 and over. Children under 3 are not permitted into the Lyceum Theatre. All persons aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own in the auditorium. Every person entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

Tickets and arrival: You will receive a confirmation email. If you choose box office collection, print the confirmation and bring it on the day, at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. If you choose e-tickets, they will be sent by email for printing at home. The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time, and guests must be seated no later than 5 minutes before the show begins. Latecomers may need to wait before being seated and could miss part of the performance.

Other important information: No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase. Strobe lighting is used several times during the performance.
