About Disney's The Lion King

Disney's The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London, is Disney's internationally celebrated musical. Reimagined for the stage by director Julie Taymor, it tells Simba's journey from cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands through music, staging and theatrical effects.

Based on Disney's film, the production presents the story in a live theatre format with a strong visual style and an established score. It is recommended for ages 6 and up.

Running time: 2 hours 30 minutes, including one interval. Performance times: Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with matinees on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 2.30pm.

Before you book

Age guidance: Children under 3 are not permitted to enter the Lyceum Theatre. All persons aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own in the auditorium. Everyone entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

Tickets and delivery: You will receive a confirmation email. If you choose box office collection, print the confirmation and bring it on the day, at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. If you choose e-tickets, they will be sent by email and can be printed at home.

Arrival and entry: The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time. Guests must be seated no later than 5 minutes before the show begins. Arrival times vary by seating level: Grand Circle and standing positions 45 minutes before start time; Stalls, Boxes E and K 60 minutes before; Royal Circle and Boxes A, B, F and G 75 minutes before. Latecomers may need to wait before being seated and could miss part of the performance.

Other important details: Strobe lighting is used several times during the performance. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase.
