About Disney's The Lion King

Disney's The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London, is Disney's internationally celebrated musical stage production based on the film. Reimagined by director Julie Taymor, it brings Simba's story to the stage, from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.

The production combines glorious colours, stunning effects and enchanting music, with the story set around Simba's journey through the Pridelands. It is a stage adaptation of one of Disney's best-known stories.

Running time: 2 hours 30 minutes, including one interval. Performance times: Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with matinees on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 2.30pm.

Before you book

The Lion King is recommended for ages 6 and over. Children under 3 are not permitted into the Lyceum Theatre. All under 16s must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own in the auditorium. Everyone entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

You will receive a confirmation email after purchase. If you choose box office collection, print the confirmation and bring it on the day, at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. E-tickets are sent by email and can be printed at home. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase.

The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time. Guests should be seated no later than 5 minutes before the show begins, and latecomers may need to wait before being seated. Strobe lighting is used several times during the performance.
