About Disney’s The Lion King

Disney’s The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London is Disney’s internationally celebrated musical based on the film. Reimagined by acclaimed director Julie Taymor, it brings Simba’s journey from cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands to the stage.

The production combines colourful staging, effects and music to tell the story in live performance. It is a full-scale theatre adaptation of a well-known Disney film, with the focus on Simba’s coming-of-age adventure.

Running time: 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one interval. Performances: Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2.30pm.

Before you book

We recommend The Lion King for ages 6 and over. Children under 3, including babies in arms, will not be admitted. All guests aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own in the auditorium. Every person entering the theatre, regardless of age, needs a ticket.

You will receive a confirmation email. If you have chosen box office collection, print the confirmation and bring it with you on the day, at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. If you have chosen e-tickets, they will be sent by email and can be printed at home. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase.

The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time. Arrive early, as latecomers may need to wait before being seated and could miss part of the performance. Guests must be seated no later than 5 minutes before the show starts. Strobe lighting is used several times during the performance.

Please switch off your phone completely once the show begins. Chatting during the performance should be avoided, and any snack or drink packaging should be opened before the show starts to keep noise to a minimum.
