About The Hunger Games On Stage

The Hunger Games On Stage is at Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre in London. This production is the first-ever theatre adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ internationally acclaimed book and Lionsgate’s motion picture, bringing the story of Katniss Everdeen to the stage in 2025.

It is created by an award-winning team including playwright Conor McPherson, known for Girl from the North Country and The Weir, and director Matthew Dunster, whose credits include 2:22 A Ghost Story, Hangmen and The Pillowman. The show follows Katniss as she defies the odds in a story centred on courage, hope and human spirit.

The production contains loud noises and explosions, haze and smoke, flashing lights and strobe. It also includes depictions of murder and manslaughter, and references to death, grief and guilt.

Duration: Act 1: 1 hour 07 mins, interval: 20 mins, Act 2: 1 hour 08 mins.

Before you book

This production is recommended for 12+. Under 3s are not permitted. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. A good guide is to check whether you and your party are comfortable with the level of content in The Hunger Games films.
