About The Phantom of the Opera

The Phantom of the Opera at His Majesty's Theatre, London, tells the story of a hidden figure living beneath the Paris Opera House and his love for Christine Daaé. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s score, the scenery and the special effects bring the story to the stage in a production that first opened on Thursday 9 October 1986.

Since opening, the musical has become one of the highest-grossing shows of all time. It won 70 major theatre awards and has been seen by over 140 million people worldwide.

The performance runs for 2 hours and 30 minutes including one interval.

Before you book

Children under 4 will not be admitted. All persons aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. All persons entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a valid ticket.

Your confirmation email will include your e-ticket. Please print it and bring it on the day, and it is recommended that you arrive at least 30 minutes before the performance starts. You may also need to present valid ID.

No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase. Please note that Stalls Row N-S will have the top of the staging obscured by the Royal Circle overhang, and single seats cannot be left in a row when booking.
