About The Smartest Giant in Town

The Smartest Giant in Town is a 55-minute musical adventure based on Julia Donaldson’s beloved characters. It follows George, who decides he does not want to be the scruffiest giant in town. After a visit to a fancy clothes shop, he puts on smart trousers, a smart shirt, a stripy tie and shiny shoes, and becomes the smartest giant in town.

The story then turns as George meets a group of animals who need his help, and his clothes too. The production comes from the award-winning Little Angel Theatre, known for A Squash and a Squeeze and Charlie Cook’s Favourite Book, with West End producers Fierylight, whose credits include Peppa Pig, Bing, Octonauts and The BFG.

This Olivier Award nominated show is presented as a heart-warming musical adventure with delightful puppets and catchy songs. It was described by the Evening Standard as “**** A Joy”.

Before you book

This production is suitable for children aged 2–8 years. Babes in arms are allowed, and babies under 12 months sitting on an adult’s lap do not need a ticket. All other patrons do need a ticket for entry.
