Unwind with festive vibes at our Christmas Gong Bath, helping Trafford Domestic Abuse Services!

A Christmas gong bath unlike any other!

Thursday 3 December 2026 | 7.00–10.00pm

The Chambers, Oyez Arts, Altrincham Town Hall

Market Street, Altrincham WA14 1PF

What if, in the middle of the Christmas rush, you could spend 90 minutes doing absolutely nothing?

On Thursday 3 December, the beautiful historic Chambers of Altrincham Town Hall will become the setting for a very special Christmas gong bath, with its stained-glass windows illuminated for the evening.

With high ceilings, elegant wooden panelling and beautiful stained glass, The Chambers provides a unique and atmospheric setting for an evening of sound, relaxation and Christmas atmosphere.

This is the first gong bath of its kind at Oyez Arts, with just 24 places available.

Join Rachel of Swallow Sound for an intimate Christmas evening, while helping to raise support for Trafford Domestic Abuse Services (TDAS), Charity Number 1120983.

What is a gong bath?

A gong bath is a deeply relaxing experience in which you remain fully clothed, lying or sitting comfortably while the sounds and vibrations of the gongs surround you.

The resonance and vibration of the gongs, together with periods of silence, wash over and through you. For many people, this creates a deeply restful, meditative experience and a chance to step away from the demands of everyday life.

You do not need any meditation experience, and there is no right or wrong way to experience a gong bath. Simply get comfortable, close your eyes if you wish, and listen.

Supporting Trafford Domestic Abuse Services

This event is raising support for Trafford Domestic Abuse Services (TDAS), a local charity supporting people and families affected by domestic abuse.

TDAS provides refuge accommodation and support across Trafford and believes that everyone has the right to live free from domestic abuse. In 2023, TDAS opened the first dedicated male refuge in Greater Manchester.

Your attendance helps support the work of this important local charity.
