Join Nicci to venture deep into the enchanted Wandthorn Woods with The Rambler's Curse – the first in a brand-new trilogy from Mikey Please!

Join Nicci at Happy Reading Children's Bookshop as we venture deep into the enchanted Wandthorn Woods with The Rambler's Curse – the first book in a brand-new trilogy from award-winning author-illustrator Mikey Please!

We'll read along together from this funny, beautifully illustrated new adventure before enjoying a creative book-based activity inspired by the mysterious world of Rene, Glumfoot and the creatures of Wandthorn Woods.

Fans of The Café at the Edge of the Woods will recognise some familiar faces – but this time, a much bigger adventure is about to begin...

ABOUT THE RAMBLER'S CURSE

Everything is going wonderfully for Rene and Glumfoot at the Café at the Edge of the Woods.

Until, during one terrible storm, a creature most foul and dangerous stumbles across the café...

A HUMAN!

Humans, as far as Rene is concerned, are monsters.

But when Glumfoot discovers that humans have also begun venturing deeper into Wandthorn Woods, threatening the lives of the extraordinary creatures who call it home, the friends know they have to do something.

Together, Rene and Glumfoot set out to discover who these mysterious intruders are, what they want and whether they can stop them before everything they love is changed forever.

Funny, exciting and full of heart, The Rambler's Curse expands the magical world of the bestselling The Café at the Edge of the Woods into an epic new adventure for older readers.

Beautifully illustrated throughout in black and white, this is the first book in a brand-new trilogy – and the beginning of a story that could change Wandthorn Woods forever.
