A playful tarot workshop with Sonia & James: fresh reading methods, spreads, and improvised storytelling from the cards.

Storytelling with the tarot, if every picture tells a story the tarot hold a whole deck of tales ready to shuffle and read. Explore the narrative potential of tarot cards in this informal, playful workshop with James and Sonia of Folk Lore Kent. Forget everything you know about the tarot, we’ll introduce you to a simple uncluttered reading method that looks afresh at the characters, objects, and landscapes of the cards. Together we’ll work with the randomness of card cutting and creating simple spreads, interpreting images and improvising stories. Whether you want to write with the tarot, reset your card reading habits, or just learn a fun technique to share with friends, this creative workshop will encourage you to experiment and play.
