Hop into summer fun every Tuesday at the Cathedral with family-friendly activities inspired by the citywide Peter Rabbit: Tales on the Tyne art trail. Families can enjoy a daily explorer trail, a cosy reading and activity space in St Margaret’s Chapel, and a range of bookable creative sessions designed for young adventurers. Tuesday 25 August, 10am–12pm Write your own ‘Tales on the Tyne’ (ages 6+) For centuries, the Cathedral has been a place where the stories of the Tyne have been gathered and shared. In this creative writing workshop, we’ll explore some of those tales before using them as inspiration for your own new stories. Work with a writer to plan and develop your ideas, then create your own story notebook to take home so you can continue writing! Tickets: ‘Give as You Feel’ (£5 suggested donation per participant).
