Let's Talk Health is a free, interactive training session designed to give you the confidence and skills to recognise opportunities for healthy conversations and support people towards making positive changes.
You don't need to be a healthcare professional. This training is aimed at anyone working or volunteering in the community who has regular contact with Nottingham residents.
During the session, you'll learn how to:
✅ Recognise when someone is ready for change ("change talk")
✅ Start healthy lifestyle conversations naturally and confidently
✅ Use active listening and effective questioning skills
✅ Understand what motivates people to change
✅ Explore common barriers that can prevent change
✅ Avoid common mistakes that can reduce motivation
✅ Signpost people to appropriate local support services
✅ Help people identify their own solutions and next steps
The training is practical, engaging, and includes opportunities to practise your skills in a supportive environment.
