Welcome to the People Insights Exchange!
A new monthly workshop in Bingham for people who manage people.
Ninety minutes. One accredited keynote, one hands-on workshop, and a room of local professionals worth knowing. First Friday of every month at Bingham Arena.
NOVEMBER'S SESSION: STRESS AWARENESS AT WORK
To coincide with International Stress Awareness Week, this practical 90-minute workplace learning session explores the conditions at work that can create or intensify pressure.
People Insights Exchange will be looking at what are we asking people to cope with?
We’ll explore how workload, control, support, workplace relationships, role clarity and organisational change can contribute to work-related stress, using the HSE Management Standards as a practical framework.
You’ll put the ideas into practice in our Stress Detective Workshop, working through a realistic workplace scenario to identify what’s creating pressure, what questions you would ask and what you could actually change.
WHAT YOU'LL LEAVE WITH
You’ll leave with practical tools and ideas you can take straight back into work, including:
A practical way to identify where stress is entering the work
The six HSE work-related stress risk areas translated into questions you can actually use
A 10-Minute Stress Risk Check for your own team or workplace
Better questions for conversations
Practical ideas for changing the work and environment
A take-away Stress at Work Toolkit
The option to purchase a formal CPD certificate
WHO IT'S FOR
HR leads, heads of function, L&D professionals, line managers and business owners. Anyone responsible for how people are treated at work, and anyone who's currently guessing.
The cost of getting this wrong turns up later as grievances, sickness absence, tribunal risk and good people quietly leaving. Ninety minutes now is cheaper than any of them.
HOW THE SESSION RUNS
10:30 Arrival, find a table
10:40 Agenda and an energiser activity you can use back at work the same afternoon
10:50 Keynote: When Coping Becomes the Job (accredited CPD) led by Beth Thomas
11:20 Workshop: The Stress Detective Workshop led by Georgia Hodkinson
11:45 Key takeaways and a soft networking close
12:00 Finish, refreshments available
Seating is at round tables. You'll be working with the people around you rather than sitting in rows, and our team is in the room throughout to make sure everyone has a good experience.
