Mandy Phillips leads an online talk on How Therapists Build Stronger Referral Connections in Practice on 29 October 2026 at 13:00. The Referral Circle uses short introductions and breakout conversations to help therapists build professional relationships. Tickets start from £1.00.
Therapists are often brilliant at supporting other people to make connections, while somehow ending up working in our own little bubbles.
The Referral Circle is a warm, structured networking session designed to help therapists actually get to know one another beyond a name in a Facebook group, a LinkedIn profile, or that vague feeling of _“I’m sure I saw someone once who works with this…”_
We’ll begin with short introductions so everyone has a sense of who is in the room, what kind of work they do and the clients they most enjoy working with. From there, you’ll move into a series of short breakout conversations with other therapists.
This isn’t about selling yourself, collecting business cards or perfecting an elevator pitch. It’s about having real conversations, understanding one another’s work and starting to build the kind of professional relationships that make referrals feel easier, safer and more personal.
You may meet someone who works with a client group you regularly need to refer on. You may find someone whose work complements your own. Or you may simply leave knowing a few more therapists than you did when you arrived.
Sometimes that is exactly where good networks begin.
