Mia Leijssen will deliver a workshop titled How to Work with Nature Processes for Meaning in Existential Practice on 7 January 2027. The session explores how natural elements and processes can serve as starting points for human development and consciousness expansion. Tickets are available from £1.00.
The human body, like nature, can be experienced as consisting of Earth elements that give form, Water elements that flow through it, Fire and Air elements that are necessary for heating and oxygen. Aspects of similar processes in nature are inspiring starting points for human development. The most subtle element, Ether— that is not perceptible but can be experienced as Life Energy— is the Essence that is most difficult to put into words. With Ether you enter the transition from 'knowing' to 'not knowing', from 'understanding' to 'trusting', from 'control' to 'surrender'. Crossing with different Elements serves to expand human consciousness, from what is clearly observable to more subtle life processes. This leads to transformation and inspiration to use the full potential of being human.
The workshop offers a fresh way to look at problems, without pathologizing or putting mental constructions on living processes. It offers invitations and short exercises so that participants can discover their personal resonance when crossing with natural processes. It also invites participants to experiment with situations in their own life when they approach their interactions from the perspective of crossing with a different Element than they usually tend to do. In this way, the human range of choices expands.
