Experiment, discover and have fun at our monthly Science Club for ages 5-9.

What’s inside our amazing bodies? At this month’s Science Club for ages 5-9, learn about bones and build a skeleton jigsaw – find out how our skeleton stops our bodies wobbling like a jelly and becoming a pile of goo! Build a K’Nex skeleton to protect balloon lungs, and make a bone model with play dough, straws and card. It’s Alive! Experiment with movement and muscles and create Dr Frankenstein’s moving model arm from rubber bands to take home.

Suitable for ages 5-9 (accompanied by an adult)

Sessions:

10am - 11.30am

12.30pm - 2pm

3pm - 4.30pm

£15 per club ticket (includes Eventbrite booking fee. Admits one child and accompanying adult.

£5 additional adult/s ticket admittance to Science Club and outside areas / café. All attendees need a ticket, for under 3’s we recommend the Family day instead.

- Access to the woodland, Water Lab and outdoor areas from 10am–5pm (last entry 4.30pm)

- Parking (limited availability)

- Access to the Exploration Zone

Event Details

All Saturday Club sessions must be accompanied by an adult. These family workshops are designed for you and your child to learn from each other and work together while trying out new things. Led by our expert club leaders with bespoke activities designed to provide science-inspired fun challenges. There is a different theme each week so we and you are always learning something new!

Science Oxford Centre Visitor Café

Emira's Kitchen (https://scienceoxford.com/centre/public/cafe/) café at the Science Oxford Centre is open on Saturdays from 10am-4pm, serving hot and cold drinks, snacks and rolls. Families are welcome to bring picnics to eat at our lunch tables.

Due to the ongoing site improvement works, you may notice some changes to the area immediately outside the centre and access to the woodland and trails. There are temporary diversions in place directing parking (please use all available bays). There is also unrestricted free parking available on Quarry Road.
