SHARE Oxford Repair Cafe - our volunteers will help you fix your stuff including electricals, bikes, clothes and more!

This is our monthly repair café running from 2-5pm at Makespace on Aristotle Lane, just north of Jericho. We are almost always able to offer electrical, sewing and bike repairs, and will add additional specialist repairs (eg books, watches, tool sharpening etc) as we confirm volunteers nearer the start of each event.

About this event

Bring along your broken things and one of our fabulous volunteer repairers will take a look and - if possible - show you how they can be fixed.

Repair Cafés are free community events where skilled volunteers help people learn how to fix their own items to save them from ending up in landfill. The focus is on skill-sharing and an enjoyable ongoing learning process. If you'd like to learn how to do sewing or darning repairs yourself, or how to maintain your bike, please book a slot and come along.

Tea and cake will be available. Our services are free but we're very grateful for donations to help keep the SHARE Oxford charity running.

We ask you book in a maximum of 2 items per Repair Cafe, as capacity is limited by the number of repairers, and we want to keep slots open for as many visitors as possible.

If you find that all the slots are booked please email us at repaircafe@shareoxford.org and, if you don't mind a wait, you're welcome to drop in on the day and we'll aim to squeeze you in!
