oin us at Rathcormac as we continue our Himalayan balsam maintenance work, revisiting previously cleared areas and removing any remaining.

Our Himalayan balsam campaign is now moving into maintenance mode, and we're heading back to Rathcormac to make sure the work we've already done stays effective.

The aim is to revisit previously cleared areas, remove any missed or late-emerging plants and prevent Himalayan balsam from setting seed. This final push is vital in reducing the seed bank and making next year's work easier.

Whether you're a regular volunteer or joining us for the first time, everyone is welcome.

Meeting time:

10:00am – Rathcormac Cemetery

Finish approximately 1:00pm

Please meet us directly at the cemetery.

All equipment will be provided and no experience is necessary.

What to Bring

Sturdy footwear or wellington boots

Long trousers and long sleeves recommended

Weather-appropriate clothing

Waterproofs if needed

Sun cream, hat and plenty of water if warm

We'll have our usual hot and cold drinks and biscuits for everyone.
