This one-day course is delivered in partnership with Beaver Trust - a nature restoration charity, established in September 2019. The course leaders with their expertise in conservation, ecology and land management will provide a comprehensive exploration of the Eurasian beaver and its return to Britain's waterways.
Evidence of attendance on this course and attendance on the CIEEM Beaver Survey Methods and Mitigation training course qualifies you to register for one of Natural England’s beaver management Class Licence’s (CL52 or CL51). For further information on this accreditation contact restoration@beavertrust.org.
Course level: 2 - Beginner level
Attendees will ideally have some basic understanding of the topic. The event will then allow them to consolidate pre-existing knowledge and develop their skills. (e.g. knowing that beavers are semi-aquatic mammals => being able to recognise the signs of their presence)
A CPD certificate will be available on completion of the course.
Concession tickets: available for those in eduction or those on a low income/in receipt of universal credit.
