Strathcarron Hospice is hosting an event at The Barracks on September 15th at 13:00. The session will explore the role of hospices in community development. Attendees can join community partners and policy makers for this free educational gathering.
Join Strathcarron Hospice, community partners and policy makers to explore how hospice-led community development can strengthen connections.
As Strathcarron Hospice marks its 45th anniversary, we invite you to explore a perhaps unexpected aspect of hospice work: community development.
Strathcarron Hospice’s Compassionate Communities team is bringing together community development practitioners, policy makers, academics, third-sector organisations and community partners to examine what a hospice-led approach to community development can look like.
This is a free, invitation-focused professional event.
A light lunch, tea and coffee will be available from 1pm.
The formal programme begins at 1.30pm and concludes at approximately 4pm, followed by networking until 5pm.
Advance registration is required.
Please provide details of any dietary, accessibility or communication requirements when booking.
The programme and contributors may be subject to minor changes.
Through presentations, discussion and interactive workshops, attendees will have an opportunity to share their own perspectives, consider how these approaches could be adopted or supported more widely, and explore the potential for future collaboration and a Compassionate Communities network
