About David

David is a Scottish photographer whose work is a mix of portrait, urban exploration and landscape photography. His aim is to take photographs of people, objects and places that have a story to tell. His creative focus is project based, showing his photography through exhibitions, books, talks and events.

His projects include;

The Barra Collection - a series of portrait photographs which capture the essence of the people on the island of Barra and modern island life in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland.

Rack & Ruin - a series of "portraits" of derelict boats, trains and cars. This led to an exhibition in Glasgow and a photobook.

From Lens to Pen - a collaborative project involving a number of writing groups throughout the West of Scotland, using photographs as a stimulus for their writing.
