Join a walking tour of Nantwich's foodie heritage. Led by festival volunteers and an expert from the museum you will get a potted history of Nantwich's ancient links to the cheese and salt-making industries and its importance as a market town alongside various snippets of town heritage.
Starting at Nantwich Musem with an introductory talk, we will work our way down to Welsh Row taking in some food history of Nantwich on the way. Our first venue is the Black Lion where landlord Darren is going to provide some tasty snacks along with Weetwood Beer.
After that we will head back up Welsh Row past Moss Café and the Rolling Pin Bakery who are giving all of our walking tour participants a 10% discount voucher to spend in their shops.
We will end up at the fabulous Cheese shop on Hospital Street, where Nick will be giving us tasters of sparkling wine from Golford Wines along with accompanying cheeses.
Vegetarian options are available - please specify at the time of booking. Due to the nature of the tour we can't accommodate other dietary requirements or allergies.
Please arrive at the museum at 11am for the introdutory talk. The tour will set off at 11.30. Allow 2 hours for the complete tour.
