A guided walk exploring the registered battlefield at Hopton Heath.

Meet at 2.00 p.m. outside the Village Hall, Salt Rd, Salt, Stafford ST18 0BW.

The walk will cover the northern approaches to the battlefield, the parliamentarian deployment, the centre of the field, including the commemorative monument and interpretation board, and the lines of attack by the royalists from the south.

The circular route of about 5km will take about two hours and finish back at the Village Hall, Salt. Mainly along good footpaths, some uneven tracks and fields, stiles and steep slope. Sturdy footwear recommended.

Thanks to Salt Village Hall, toilet facilities will be available at start and end of walk. Parking is limited at Village Hall but plenty of careful, considerate parking is available on the main village road.
