Community full moon hike at Elysian Park w/ Yoga by @Cassirawl Live Music performance & Telescopes by LAAS & More!

Join We Explore Earth for Full Moon Risings, a community full buck moon gathering centered on movement, sound, and shared presence in nature.

For the Full Sturgeon Moon, we’ll come together in Elysian Park for a guided group hike cleanup, followed by a yoga session and live musical performance & telescopes beneath the rising moon.

This is a free, community-centered outdoor experience, open to all.

We’ll meet on the grassy area at the entrance of the road from Stadium Way leading up to Grace E. Simmons Lodge.

This gathering is about moving together, slowing down, and listening — to nature, sound, and one another.

What to Bring

For safety and comfort, please bring:

Headlamp or flashlight (required)

Comfortable hiking shoes

Warm layers (temperatures drop after sunset)

1–2 liters of water

Light snack if needed

Parking:

Please park along North Stadium Way, near the entrance road leading to Grace E. Simmons Lodge.

Street parking is free.

We meet at the corner where Stadium Way connects with the lodge entrance road.

Just Coming for the Yoga & Full Moon Gathering?

You’re welcome to join us even if you’re not hiking. If you’d like to come just for the sound bath, live music, moon-gazing, telescopes, and a relaxed full moon picnic, feel free to drive directly to the top of Elysian Park.

Drive up to the cul-de-sac at the top of Elysian Park (the coordinates provided will take you there)

Park near the restrooms at the top

From there, walk down the dirt road behind the gate, following the grassy park area

Continue along the path until you reach the helipad

That’s where you’ll find us gathering

This option is perfect if you want to arrive later, move at your own pace, or simply settle in and enjoy the Full Moon vibes.

Bring a blanket, something warm, and come relax under the moon.
