A talented poet is rediscovered by a group of eccentric creatives who see his past work as worthy of revival.

'Late Fame' follows a talented New York poet who has lived in obscurity for years, working as a postman and under the impression that his time as an artist is behind him. This is until he meets an eccentric group of young creatives who are blown away by his talent and believe it is worthy of revival.

Starring Willem Dafoe as Ed Saxberger, the newly discovered poet, who brings a natural fluidity in his performance, emphasising the earnest sentiments that success comes at any age, and what it means to be an artist who feels that their prime has passed.

This screening will have low ambient lighting and subtitles to offer a more relaxed movie-going experience.

Stories of Home is a BFI and National Lottery-funded project which seeks to bring accessible screenings for communities across Swindon, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. Showcasing stories that explore film as a vehicle for community and togetherness, while also creating a welcoming and inclusive space that encourages connection and conversation with others.
