About This Event

The event "From Potential to Progress...Honouring Our Roots" will take place on 17 October 2026 at Wigan Library. Organised by the GEWE Network in partnership with B, this community-focused gathering aims to celebrate the achievements and spirit of local communities through inspiring stories and positive interactions. From Potential to Progress...

Honouring Our Communities

Join GEWE Network in partnership with Be More Initiative in person at Wigan Library on October 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM (BST) for an inspiring seminar celebrating our heritage and empowering women and young adults to lead and transform their communities.

Inspired by Black History Month 2026’s theme, Honouring Our Communities, this event is all about turning potential into progress through connection, stories, and shared achievements.

We’ll explore the:

LEGIT Blueprint Framework (Lead • Empower • Grow • Innovate • Transform ) alongside TAP: (Think • Act • Progress) leadership frameworks

Whether you’re a woman, young adult, man, or part of the wider community, come meet great people, build confidence, and get practical tools to become a changemaker.
