Think B.I.G - Brain Injury Group meets on 22 November 2026 at Thyme for Tea in Bolton. This wellness peer support group provides understanding and hope to younger or working-age people living with brain injury.
Peer support group providing understanding, support and hope to younger/working age people living with brain injury - life is for living!
On Sunday 22nd November, we are hosting a North West Brain Injury Support Group, for younger/working age people that have suffered brain injury. The group is also open to loved-ones and carers, but all attendees will need a ticket. Tickets are FREE!
You will meet Zoe and Andy, themselves survivors of brain injury, who are happy to share their experiences and aspects of their recovery journeys. You will also have a chance to chat among yourselves. Zoe and Andy are passionate about raising awareness of stroke and other brain injuries in younger people, providing a supportive environment and community, but also keen to show that there is life after brain injury. Let’s go on this journey together.
The hope is that this will become a regular event, so feel free to share your experiences and what your specific needs would be from a support group. There is no expectaction to contribute to the conversation - if all you want to do is attend and observe, and maybe have a brew, that's fine.
Having said that, we are also open to the idea of other people joining us as volunteers going forward. There will be an opportunity to talk to us on the day about volunteering, if you wish to be involved.
Drinks/refreshments will be available and there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions.
