About This Event

If you had to imagine the version of you you choose to show the world, what would this mask look like? Hello and welcome 😊 If this is your first time browsing through our events, please have a look at the group description first, as it contains some general info applicable to all sessions. To different extents, all of us curate our behaviours and personalities so that they are acceptable to the world around us. In this session we will attempt to visualise what this mask would look like if it had a physical form. Some people feel the need to appear happy all the time, often because at some point, they’ve felt responsible for uplifting other people’s moods. Others put on a cynical mask - a way to prevent the hurt of disappointment by always expecting it before it happens. People have countless reasons for how they present themselves, and there are as many masks as human beings. In session number 4, we will attempt to visualise ours. As usual, I will provide some references to serve as inspiration. You can also bring your own if you have any that inspire you. If you would like them printed out, email them to me at communitythroughart514@gmail.com. We will be waiting in the communal area of Kirkgate Centre until 10:10am, after which the doors have to be closed, so please arrive on time. Tea, coffee, and biscuits will be provided 😊 I look forward to seeing you there!
