Common Ambition Bristol Showcase: From Insights to Impact

Join us for a one-of-a-kind evening celebrating five years of community-led change.

Common Ambition Bristol (CAB) is an award-winning, community-led HIV and sexual health initiative, working with African and Caribbean Heritage communities in and around Bristol. For over five years, we have been working alongside local services and stakeholders to improve sexual health, challenge stigma, and drive progress towards the city's goal of ending new cases of HIV.

Throughout our journey, the University of Bristol has been evaluating our work — documenting what we've done and capturing what we've learned. With that research now complete now complete, including findings recently published in BMJ Public Health co-authored by members of our own community, we're bringing everyone together to share the insights and celebrate the impact.

What to expect

An engaging and interactive evening of food, drinks, entertainment and conversation. We'll be telling the story of the last five years, sharing key findings from the research, and celebrating what can be achieved when communities are put in the driving seat to shape the services they need. You'll also hear about the next chapter in CAB's story and how you can be part of it.

Who it's for

Everyone. This evening brings together our community, collaborators, partners, local services and anyone with an interest in community-led health. These achievements belong to us all, and you are all welcome. The venue is fully accessible.
