Join us on 06 October for a special panel event celebrating the people shaping Black community identity, wellbeing, culture and leadership across Bristol and the Southwest. Under the Black History Month theme "Honoring Our Communities", this conversation, in collaboration with UWE's Equity program, will be hosted by Stacey Olika, Creative Equity Project Manager at Channel 4 and Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe honouree.

UWE Equity a positive action coaching programme for Global Majority students providing personal and professional development opportunities. As part of the programme there are speaker events linked to our Bristol Distinguished Address Series - last year’s event was ‘Reclaiming Narratives’- Crossing Generations with Dr. Edson Burton & Guests.

There are also targeted initiatives for Global majority students in the form of insight sessions, webinars and for undergraduate students the option to undertake coaching/skills sessions together with mentoring.

About Stacey

Stacey Olika is the Creative Equity Project Manager at Channel 4, driving industry wide change through diversity, inclusion and representation across television. She was also named on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for Media & Marketing in 2026.

At Channel 4, she develops and leads strategic initiatives designed to increase representation across the U.K. television industry. In 2025, Stacey led and launched the Creative Equity Drama IP Fund, supporting ethnically diverse-led production companies to secure and retain intellectual property. She also established the Development & Empowerment Lab, supporting Black writers, directors and producers working across scripted television.

Beyond Channel 4, Stacey is an award nominated freelance presenter and host, with experience moderating panels, leading industry discussions and interviewing high profile talent including the likes of Zendaya, Aaron Pierre and Josh O’Connor.
