You asked, and we listened! We are heading to the Peak District!
Join Brew Hike and Flock for a 1.5–2-hour wellness walk around Buxton and up to Solomon’s Temple, taking in some beautiful Peak District views along the way!
🥾THE WALK:
Difficulty: This route is suitable for beginners. We’re not heading up any mountains, but there are some climbs and descents, so a basic level of fitness is recommended. We encourage everyone to stay together throughout the walk so nobody is left behind. It is a looped walk starting and finishing at Flock, around 6 km long, and will take around 1.5 - 2hrs
What to bring: Comfortable/grippy footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, water and anything else you normally need for a 6 km walk. A waterproof jacket is recommended, especially at this time of year.
☕️THE COFFEE:
We are so pleased to be teaming up with Flock, who will be providing amazing coffee and cakes before and after the walk, and all those with tickets will get an extra 10% off all day! If you fancy taking a coffee with you on the walk, consider bringing a reusable flask.
Tickets are £2. Spaces are limited to 25, so reserve your spot today!
📍Where: Meet at Flock Coffee Van, their green coffee van on the corner; you can't miss it (Broad Walk, Buxton SK17 6JE)
📅 When: 17th October 10:00 am (arrive 10-15min before to grab a brew)
🅿️ Parking: Pavilion Gardens, St. John's Road, Buxton, Derbyshire, SK17 9AR - £4.10 2-4 hours
🐶 Can I bring my Dog? - Absolutely! Dogs are welcome, but they must be kept on a lead and under control throughout the walk. Please bear in mind that the route includes uneven and potentially muddy sections.
🍼 Can I bring a Pram? - Unfortunately. No, this route is too steep and uneven for prams
We can’t wait for you to join us; it’s a chance to slow down, meet new people, and enjoy some fresh air together on a Saturday morning and enjoy the colours of autumn. Whether you're looking to meet new people, get moving, or need an excuse to get outside and have a brew, this walk is for you.
Paid walk, why?
I’ve kept Brew Hike events free where I can, but organising these walks takes a fair bit of time and expense, especially when we’re heading further afield like this one in the Peak District. From planning and researching the route, finding great independent coffee shops, organising discounts and coordinating everything behind the scenes, there’s a lot that goes into making these events happen. The small £2 event fee simply helps cover some of those costs and allows me to keep putting on more Brew Hike events.
