The Mindfulness in Reading - A Book Club Social event will be free to attend at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff on 16 September 2026, focusing on creative expression and shared wisdom.
Come & join us for some creative expression, shared wisdom, and deep conversation around your favourite book.
Welcome to an afternoon of inspiring literary connection.
This session is designed for creative expression, shared wisdom, and deep conversation.
Bring along your favourite book and let’s chat about those passages of inspiration that have moved you!
This is a safe space to share the words that have shaped your journey, spark new ideas, and connect with fellow book lovers.
Three Benefits of Sharing Stories:
Mental Clarity & Inspiration: Discussing impactful passages triggers fresh perspectives, giving you a burst of creative energy and inspiration for your own life.
Deep Connection: Sharing conversations through our shared love for the literary word breaks social barriers to conversations, creating bonds and a sense of community with others.
A Mindful Pause: Taking the time to dive into literature allows you to slow down, step out of the daily rush, and focus on personal growth.
What to bring: Your favourite book (with your top inspirational passages marked!), a notebook if you like to jot down recommendations, and an open mind.
Note: There will be no smartphone photography workshop at this event although we could nudge Rachel for tips on how to capture some of our favourite moments through photos.
Please take note: We love and want you to have a great time, but we also want you to take care of yourself.
So, by registering, you assume all risks associated with participation. It is your responsibility to consult a physician beforehand and take necessary precautions regarding any medical conditions or injuries.
You hereby release, waive, and discharge the instructors, facilitators, and the Mindful Moments Memorable Headshots Meetup Group organisers (Nisha Harichandran of Bohem Notes and Rachel Southard of Rachel Southard Photography) from any liability, claims, or demands for personal injury, sickness, property damage, or expenses arising from this event.
Additionally, photography and video recording may take place. By participating, you allow the instructors, facilitators, and organisers to use your likeness in promotional materials, social media, and Meetup updates. To opt out, please notify the organisers before the session/event.
