Expect incredible Lake District scenery, a rewarding hike and plenty of time to enjoy the outdoors with the Summit Seekrs community.

🥾 The Hike

📍 Route: Raven Crag & Great How

📏 Distance: 9.2km

⏱️ Estimated hiking time: 5–6 hours

🥪 Lunch: 45 minutes at approximately the midway point (4.5km)

🔥 Hike start: 11:30am

We’ll begin with a group warm-up and stretch before setting off.

We hike as a group and will adapt our pace where reasonably possible to accommodate different abilities. Additional rest breaks will be taken intermittently throughout the hike depending on the group’s pace, abilities, terrain and needs, so these do not have fixed durations.

Our main 45-minute lunch break will take place around the midway point, giving everyone time to properly rest, refuel and enjoy the surroundings.

🚌 Journey: Approximately 4.5 hours

🚻 Toilet available on board

The journey is approximately 4.5 hours and is currently planned without a scheduled comfort stop, so please come prepared for the journey. A toilet will be available on board the coach.

Please allow plenty of time for travel and parking. The car park is pay-and-display and spaces are limited.

🎒 What to Bring

Please come prepared for a full day outdoors. We recommend bringing:

🥾 Suitable hiking boots/shoes with good grip

🧥 Waterproof jacket

🧣 Warm/layered clothing

🥪 A substantial packed lunch

💧 Plenty of water (we recommend at least 1.5–2L)

🍫 Snacks/energy foods

🎒 Comfortable backpack

🧢 Hat/sun protection depending on the forecast

💊 Any personal medication you may require

🔋 Fully charged phone + portable charger if available

Please check the weather forecast before attending and dress appropriately. Lake District conditions can change quickly, so layers and waterproofs are strongly recommended even if the forecast looks good.

🎟️ Tickets, Refunds & Transfers

Refunds are available up to 7 days before the event. After this point, tickets are non-refundable. If you can no longer attend, ticket transfers may be permitted but must be confirmed with the Summit Seekrs team.

⏰ Arrival & Grace Period

Please arrive at the stated meeting time and do not plan your journey around the grace period.

A maximum 15-minute grace period may be provided where reasonably possible. After this point, the group may need to leave in order to keep the event running safely and on schedule.

🥾 Staying With The Group

For everyone’s safety, attendees are expected to remain with the organised hike and follow instructions from Summit Seekrs hike leaders throughout the route.

If you need or wish to leave the hike early, please speak to a hike leader first. Leaving the group independently without informing the team can create a serious safety and safeguarding concern.

We operate a zero-tolerance approach to behaviour that knowingly compromises the safety of yourself, other attendees or the Summit Seekrs team.

This can be used to ask questions before the event and will also be an important communication channel for updates and information on the day.
