A group for 14 - 18 year olds who wish to learn some practical conservation skills, improve ecological knowledge, and enjoy the outdoors.

In this session we will be be studying hibernation and the preparation for winter. We will be creating hibernation chambers for ladybirds, butterflies, bats and hedgehogs and looking at how we can help sustain wildlife, especially birds, during winter.

These volunteering hours can count towards a Duke of Edinburgh Award or can be recorded as work experience on your CV, plus you’re helping to do your bit for the environment!
