About This Event

Participants will learn how to bake and decorate a gingerbread house at the Edinburgh Food & Drink Academy on 21 December 2026. The £90 workshop covers making the dough, creating royal icing, and assembling the house with festive decorations.

Discover the magic of Christmas baking in this fun and festive 2-hour workshop. Guided by our friendly teachers, you'll learn how to bake, build and decorate your very own gingerbread house - creating an edible centerpiece to take home and enjoy throughout the festive season. Get into the Christmas spirt with this hands-on gingerbread house work shop. Perfect for beginners, families or friends who love a little festive creativity. This relaxed session combines baking, decorating and plenty of fun. You’ll begin by making and rolling your own gingerbread dough before cutting and baking the pieces needed to build your house. We will show you have to create the perfect royal icing for construction and decoration, before assembling your house and letting your creativity take over with festive sweets, sprinkles and decorations.
