Reporting Scotland - The Norwegian Way: Adventures In Whisky, Tweed And Tartan is scheduled for 3 November 2026 at Edinburgh West. This exhibition features journalist Ingvild Paulsen discussing her experiences covering Scotland for the Norwegian press, and tickets are £3 at the door, which includes a welcome coffee or tea.
Glasgow-based journalist, Ingvild Paulsen, has been covering Scotland for the Norwegian press for over 20 years and has never run out of material. In this talk, she will take you behind the scenes of her best stories and show what Norwegians can learn from Scotland’s unique heritage. There will be smoky tales of single malt whisky, tweed-threads in a tangle at Isle of Harris and an encounter with the 'bad boy of kilts' in Edinburgh. Many authors have been inspired to pick up their pen to write about the Palace of Holyroodhouse... the Palace Page Turners sessions explore these literary works followed by a hearty discussion! Join Fiona Johnston, audio describer, at The King's Gallery in the Palace of Holyroodhouse, as she describes various images in the exhibition The Edwardians: Age of Elegance.
