About This Event

The Therapeutic Sound Sanctuary will take place on 8 November 2026 at Studio Ninety Five in St Leonards-on-Sea. This event features a candlelit sound session designed for therapeutic restoration.

A candlelit, therapeutic sound session & ritual of restoration.

A therapeutic sound session with The Sound Apothecary curated for Studio Ninety Five.

You are invited to a candlelit cocoon & ritual of restoration with grounding pulse of the drum & soothing singing bowls. Spaces are limited so early booking is advised.

Grounding and regulation of the nervous system, hormones, cardiovascular system and emotions form the foundation of embodied health & the focus of this session of stillness within sound offering space lfor the release of resistance and an invitation for restoration and recovery.

Ancient civilizations understood the transformational power of sound and its effect on both the mind and body.

The primal beat of the drum is the most ancient instrument, resonating at the depth of our heart & bones.

The hypnotic beats of a drum journey synchronise with the brain via a phenomenon called entrainment, coaxing the parasympathetic nervous system from "fight & flight" mode into "rest & digest" reducing the stress hormone cortisol and boosting Serotonin & Dopamine, the "feel good" chemicals.

Research studies reveal that beats such as those played in a drum journey can lead the brain into the Theta pattern, calming the nervous system & slowing the heart rate to initiate relaxation.

Crystal singing bowl frequencies also slow down & entrain the brain into the Theta state, the gateway to the hypnagogic state between sleep and waking, deep rest and an altered state of consciousness.

This is an opportunity for those who are new to sound therapy to explore a group session and insight into the potential for one to one sessions.

Spaces are limited so early booking is advised.
