About This Event

Wildlife Watch on 27 October 2026 at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve will focus on the importance of the Sussex coastline as a habitat. This event aims to educate attendees on its role in mitigating climate change.

Discover why our coastline is such an important habitat for helping to slow the effects of climate change and what you can do to help.

Discover all about life below the waves along our Sussex Coastline. Find out about the small, microscopic organisms that provide half the oxygen we breathe and the Kelp forests that are a nursery ground for marine life but also help to buffer against coastal flooding. In the classroom we will use VR headsets to explore this secret underwater world and look more closely at the marine life we have found using microscopes. We will finish by identifying ways we can help our Sussex Coastline.
