A delightful circular walk from Wassand Hall along Hornsea Mere and the Transpennine trail.
A lovely flat walk that starts and finishes at Wassand Hall on the banks of Hornsea Mere. The walk passed Hornsea Mere and the abandoned medieval village of Southorpe, and along a section of the Hornsea to Hull Rail Trail/TransPennine trail. We stop in the grounds of St Giles Church in Goxhill for our packed lunch, before carrying on our walk through farmland and back to Wassand Hall where we rest in the beautiful walled garden tearoom to enjoy tea and cake. Drive down the lane to Wassand Hall and park in the field on the left. Bring a packed lunch and drink.
