This event will be bookable on Monday 3 August 2026. Create a unique wintery fused glass scene which will stand in a Leicestershire-made wooden base. During this workshop you will use clear sheet and a wide range of accessory glass to create your own design. Bring images to work from if you wish to, or tutor Katherine will provide ideas to inspire you. The workshop runs for up to three hours, but some participants may finish a little sooner. No experience of working with glass is needed so this workshop is ideal for beginners and doesn’t involve any glass cutting, but it is also suitable for those who have completed a previous course and want to develop their skills. About the tutor: Tutor Katherine has been a practicing glass designer/maker for nearly 20 years, and has an established studio in Tollerton. Her work is inspired by the natural world and the colour and clarity of glass. She shares her passion for working with glass by delivering workshops at an introductory and more advanced level in glass fusing, copper foiling and traditional stained-glass panel making. Further information: This half-day workshop will start at 10am and end by 1pm on Thursday 19 November 2026. All materials are included in the course fee. Participants must be 14+. Under 18s must be accompanied by a paying adult at all times. Free parking for all customers is available after 5pm on weekdays and all day at weekends in the University of Leicester car park next door to Attenborough Arts Centre on Lancaster Road. The closest public car park for parking at all other times is Victoria Park, 5-10 minutes walk from us.
