Learn how to make your own simple purse with Elman Handmade in this beginner-friendly, hands-on sewing workshop.

Beyond The Rail is a three-day immersive fashion and creative experience by All Over The Shop, taking place at Liverpool Metquarter from 18–20 September 2026 as part of Fashion Britain and London Fashion Week, in collaboration with the British Fashion Council.

Bringing together Liverpool's independent designers, makers and creative community, the weekend will feature hands-on workshops, live making, styling, personalisation, interactive experiences and creative installations throughout the space.

Make Your Own Purse

Join Elman Handmade for a beginner-friendly sewing workshop where you'll learn how to make your own simple fabric purse.

Elman will guide you through the process step by step, showing you how the purse is constructed and helping you create your own version to take home.

This is a great opportunity to learn some basic sewing skills, have a go at making something from scratch and leave with a practical handmade piece you've created yourself.

The workshop takes place in The Workshop at Beyond The Rail, alongside a full weekend programme celebrating Liverpool's independent fashion and creative community.
