About The Standard of Living

The Standard of Living at the Theatre Royal Haymarket is a world-premiere play by Olivier Award-winning playwright James Graham. It tells the story of economist John Maynard Keynes, moving between Whitehall and a circle of artists, writers and lovers as Britain faces economic crisis.

Directed by multi award-winner Nicholas Hytner, the production brings together music, dance, desire and debate in a portrait of Keynes and the question that drives him: what is a good life? It opens in the West End for a strictly limited 12-week season.

It stars Olivier Award winner Rory Kinnear and Royal Ballet principal Natalia Osipova, in her West End debut.

Access bookings are managed via the Theatre Royal Haymarket Digital Access Pass. If a customer has a Nimbus/Access card and the +1 is not for a mobility issue, they can select any price except Premiums and pay full price for one ticket, with the +1 ticket free, processed as two tickets at half price.

Customers with mobility-related access needs, or who are deaf or visually impaired, may be offered Stalls seats at £25, excluding Premiums, subject to internal allocation. The venue holds four centre Stalls D seats for visual or hearing needs, four aisle pairs for mobility needs, and two wheelchair spaces.

Natalia Osipova will not be appearing at the evening performances on Friday 16 October, Wednesday 21 October and Wednesday 4 November, or at the matinee and evening performances on Thursday 22 October and Thursday 5 November.
