About This Event

A Sashiko stitching workshop at Cotehele explores traditional Japanese repair and reinforcement techniques. Participants will use running stitches to mend items. Tickets are free.

Explore this traditional Japanese repair and reinforcement technique through a contemporary crafting lens.

Using simple running stitches, we’ll mend, strengthen, and embellish cloth, celebrating care, reuse, and the beauty of visible repair.

Suitable for beginners, this workshop offers a calm, social space to slow down, learn a new skill, and reconnect with making.
