Family Friendly Shorts – Waterford International Film Festival 2026

From mischievous spirits and space explorers to magical fairy forts, cloud-herding adventures and the healing bond between a young refugee and a pony, this year’s Family Friendly Shorts programme brings together eight wonderfully varied short films.

Featuring animation, comedy, fantasy, adventure and heartfelt stories, the programme explores imagination, friendship, family, belonging and the unexpected wonders that can be found all around us.
