Join us for the inaugural lecture of Pooja Agrawal, the 2026 Marshall Visiting Professor of Sustainable Urban Design. Pooja is co-founder and CEO of Public Practice, whose mission is to build public sector capability to improve the quality, equality and sustainability of places.
This lecture makes the case for 'A New Municipalism'. Drawing on the history of the state and radical practices, the impact of policy on housing and planning, and current examples from local government, Pooja will explore how we rebuild public sector capability and ask what people, policy and practice need to look like if we demand better everyday places.
