About This Event

A sensory processing awareness workshop occurs at Greenstead Community Centre in Colchester on 13 October 2026. Monette Dormant will lead the session and guide participants through resources provided by ECC.

Sensory Processing Awareness Event

Join Monette Dormant, Paediatric Service Lead for North East Essex who will share the sensory awareness resource that is hosted on the Essex County Council website 9899 Sensory Awareness Document v7 ACCESSIBLE (5).pdf.

This guidance is for education providers, SENCOs, parents and carers and other people involved in supporting children and young people within their everyday life settings. It is designed to equip the reader with knowledge and understanding of how our senses impact on our ability to live. It provides strategies that can be implemented at school and home to help children and young people cope with their sensory differences.
