A Wilder Tenterden Film Screening

Through local voices and striking images of the Kentish countryside, the film tells the story of how people, farms, and schools are working together to restore nature - from wildflower planting and regenerative farming to buzzing school gardens and thriving wildlife corridors.

Tenterden Wildlife have created this film as an inspiring celebration of the community's power to protect and restore local wildlife.

Come along, celebrate what the community has achieved and be inspired by what we can do to shape a wilder, more sustainable future. Proceeds will go to Tenterden Wildlife’s nature recovery and education projects.

We are an independent charity dedicated to restoring and protecting wildlife and habitats in Tenterden and beyond. Through collaboration with residents, young people, landowners, councils, and conservation partners, we are protecting and restoring local habitats and species, raising awareness and providing education to create a more sustainable future.

Forstal Farm: Home to a regenerative, low-input Sussex beef herd grazed beside the ancient woodland of the Tilden Gill, while also offering specialist surveying and sustainable design services.

Gibbet Oak Farm: Maintaining traditional apple and pear orchards that produce the award-winning Nightingale range of ciders and perries, all within a naturally managed landscape.

Haffenden Farm: Produces award-winning Hukins Hops and is now in its fifth generation of hop growing. The farm is restoring nature through the careful management of Lowland Meadow, woodland, hedgerows, and watercourses.

Kent & East Sussex Railway: Caring for and celebrating the 14-mile green corridor along the heritage railway — a thriving haven for a wide range of native species.

Kent Wildlife Trust: Supporting Tenterden’s community-led conservation, helping restore habitats for threatened species, encouraging their return, and welcoming new wildlife to the parish.

Potts Farm: A nature-rich landscape of ponds, meadows, and bluebell woods surrounding vineyards worked by horse — producing the acclaimed ‘taste of the Weald’ Oast Wood wines.

Silcocks Farm: An organic mixed farm rearing pedigree Hereford cattle, sheep, and pigs, with wildflower meadows at its heart. Its farm shop showcases Silcocks’ own produce alongside goods from other local growers and makers.

Tenterden Golf Course: Through its Sustainability Team and partnership with Tenterden Wildlife, the club is enhancing biodiversity across its ponds, roughs, and woodland areas.

Tenterden Schools Trust: In partnership with Tenterden Wildlife and Kent Wildlife Trust, the School Trust commissions field trips, wildlife workshops, and Natural Science programmes to inspire the next generation of conservationists.

Tenterden Town Council Maintenance Team: Sensitively manages the parish’s community-owned green spaces, ensuring they remain welcoming for both residents and wildlife.
